We provide transportation services to individuals who are not in an emergency but need more assistance than a taxi service. Our service providers will be specially equipped to transport riders in wheelchairs, stretchers, or other special needs, which helps thousands of people reach their care destinations each year regardless of where or when the appointment is.

If you don’t have a way to get to and from your covered health care services and appointments, you may be able to get a free ride. This service, called Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT), is not for emergencies. If you are having an emergency, call 911.

We are a service-oriented company which provides reliable door-to-door non-medical and non-emergent medical transportation services. We make sure that our clients get to their destination safely and on time. Our staff treats all our clients with respect and courtesy. Each driver has a clean driving record and has completed a comprehensive driving training as well as standardized CPR and first aid training.

Frequently asked questions
Scheduling a Trip
When contacting IntelliRide, we will ask questions to verify your identity, such as:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your Medicaid ID number
- Your home address
To help us properly schedule your trip(s), please have the following information available:
- Your pick up address
- The name, address, and telephone number of your doctor or facility
- The reason for your appointment (for example: follow-up care)
- The date and time of your medical appointment
- The end time of your appointment, if known
- Any special equipment or people that will ride with you
Day of Trip
On the day of your trip, please be ready at least 10 minutes before your driver arrives. Your driver will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time before departing.

Requesting a Preferred Transportation Provider
Members can request a preferred transportation provider when scheduling their trip. The reservationist will notate the request on the reservation and IntelliRide will make every effort to schedule trips with the preferred provider. Not all requests will be able to be honored.
Non Medical Transportation
As a Health First Colorado member, you may be eligible for transportation to non-medical community services and supports as part of your health plan. To qualify, you must be enrolled in one of the following Health First Colorado programs:
- Developmental Disabilities Waiver
- Supported Living Services Waiver
- Elderly, Blind and Disabled Waiver
- Community Mental Health Supports Waiver
- Brain Injury Waiver
- Spinal Cord Injury Waiver

Book A Ride
Set up a ride at least 2 days before your appointment. Be ready to give:
You may bring a family member or caretaker to your appointment. When you call for a ride, let them know if you want to bring a family member or caretaker with you. If you are having COVID-19 symptoms, call your health care provider and let them know before you get a ride to their office. Your health care provider may need to talk to you about your symptoms before your visit.
